Heard both sides.

2. By consent, the main writ petition itself is taken up for final disposal.

It is the stand of the Petitioner is that originally his father had acquired the Natham poromboke property 50 years ago and he was in exclusive possession and occupation of the said property by putting up a thatched house. In fact, all the documents such as ration card and electricity bill were issued in his father's name and the property tax was also assessed in his father's name. His father died in the year 2005 leaving behind him the petitioner as the surviving sole legal heir of the said property.

In the present writ petition, the petitioner has sought for a relief for passing of an order by this Court in issuing necessary direction to the respondent to grant patta for his house situate in Natham poromboke land bearing Door No.1-A, Eruthukkaara Street, Melamaruthuvakkudi, Aduthurai, Thiruvidaimaruthur Taluk, Thanjavur District, by considering his representation dated 04.04.2016. https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

5. In view of the fact that the petitioner's prayer is limited in nature to consider his representation dated 04.04.2016, addressed to

the respondent/Tahsildar, Thiruvidaimaruthur Taluk, Thanjavur District, this Court, at this stage, without going into the merits of the matter, simpliciter, directs the respondent/Tahsildar, Thiruvidaimaruthur Taluk, Thanjavur District to look into the representation of the petitioner dated 04.04.2016 and to dispose of the same on merits by passing a reasoned and speaking order (of-course, after providing necessary opportunity to the petitioner and others concerned if any, who are interested in the subject matter in issue) within a period of six weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. It is also open to the petitioner to furnish all copies of relevant documents, which are in his possession before the respondent and the respondent, on receipt of all the said documents/records can pass orders on the representation of the petitioner dated 04.04.2016 within the time determined by this Court as stated supra.

6. With the aforesaid observation/direction, the writ petition stands disposed of. No costs.
