O R D E R

The writ petition has been filed by the petitioner for issuance of a Writ of Mandamus, directing the respondents 1 to 3 to provide police protection for his son's marriage scheduled on 06.06.2016 at Chinthamani Street, Rajakkalpatti, Theppampatti Post, Andipatti Taluk, Theni District, by considering his representation dated 01.06.2016. 2.Mr.D.Muruganandam, learned Additional Government Pleader, takes notice for the respondents 1 to 3. By consent, the writ petition itself is taken up for final disposal. In view of the limited prayer to be granted in this writ petition, this Court is of the view that notice need not be sent to the respondents 4 to 6.

learned Additional Government Pleader appearing for the respondents 1 to 3.

4.The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner would submit that he has arranged his son's marriage on 06.06.2016 in his residence and anticipating threat and other consequences at the instance of the respondents 4 to 6, he gave a representation dated 01.06.2016 to the respondents 1 to 3 seeking Police protection on 06.06.2016. 5.The learned Additional Government Pleader appearing for the respondents 1 to 3, on instructions, would submit that they would consider the representation of the petitioner dated 01.06.2016 and pass appropriate orders on the same.

6.In view of the submission made by the learned Additional Government Pleader, the Writ Petition is disposed of with a direction to the respondents 1 to 3 to consider the representation of the petitioner, dated 01.06.2016 and pass appropriate orders on the same on merits and in accordance with law forthwith.
