This writ petition has been filed for issuance of a writ of Mandamus directing the respondents to grant 30 days emergency leave with or without police escort to the petitioner's paternal uncle Srinivasa Rethinam, S/o.Vaithiyalingam (P.I.D.No.498155) confined at Central Prison, Trichy, forthwith considering the representation dated 07.07.2025.

2.Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner and the learned Additional Public Prosecutor appearing for the respondents.

3. Taking into consideration of the facts that the detenue has been convicted only on 26.06.2025 and the representation has been given only on 07.07.2025 and the petitioner has approached this Court immediately on the next day, there shall be a direction to the respondents to consider the representation made by the petitioner dated 07.07.2025 strictly in accordance with law and take a decision within a period of one week from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

4.With the above direction, this Writ Petition stands disposed of. No costs.
