ORDER

The petitioner, who is the sole accused in Crime No.44 of 2025, has filed this petition seeking a direction to the respondent police to conduct a fair investigation and file the final report within a stipulated time.

2. The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner submits that the petitioner travelled along with his uncle one Thavasumani on 03.02.2025, at that time, he met with an accident near Manjampatti Toll Gate. According to him, a Red Colour Skoda Car dashed as against the petitioner's car and on account of that, the accident had taken place. In that accident, the petitioner's uncle died and the petitioner suffered injuries. When the petitioner was taking treatment, the wife of the deceased has lodged a complaint as if the petitioner has taken a diversion in order to avoid the hit on the median. According to him, the incident had taken place, when the Red Colour Skoda Car hit the petitioner's vehicle. However, the complaint has been registered in a different manner and that too by the wife of the 2/5

deceased. The petitioner suspects that it is a plan for murdering the deceased. The petitioner has made a detailed representation to the respondent police on 13.06.2025 and also filed this petition seeking a direction to the respondent to conduct fair investigation in Crime No.44 of 2025.

3. The learned Government Advocate (Crl. Side) takes notice for the respondent Police and submits that the occurrence had taken place on 03.02.2025 and the case has been registered on the next day, ie. on 04.02.2025 for the offence under Sections 281 and 106(i) BNS. According to him, the investigation is in crucial stage.

4. This Court considered the rival submissions made.

5. Investigation is a process of finding out the truth. The petitioner/accused is making certain allegations. The investigation is not yet completed. The allegation made by the petitioner is expected to be verified by the investigation agency.
