Prayer: Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India for the issuance of Writ of Mandamus, directing the Respondents herein to conduct the Arulmigu Sri Mariyamman Temple Festival schedule to be held on 05.06.2016 to 15.06.2016 and give necessary police protection for the Arulmigu Sri Mariyamman Temple situated at Gandhi Nagar Colony, Kattuputhur, Thottiam Taluk, Trichy District on the basis of the Petitioner's representation dated 25.05.2016.

The writ petition has been filed for issuance of a Writ of Mandamus, directing the Respondents herein to conduct the Arulmigu Sri Mariyamman Temple Festival schedule to be held on 05.06.2016 to 15.06.2016 and give necessary police protection for the Arulmigu Sri Mariyamman Temple situated at Gandhi Nagar Colony, Kattuputhur, Thottiam Taluk, Trichy District on the basis of the Petitioner's representation dated 25.05.2016.
2. Mr.D.Muruganandam, learned Additional Government Pleader, takes notice for the respondents. By consent, the writ petition itself is taken up for final disposal.

3. Heard the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and the learned Additional Government Pleader appearing for the respondents.
4. This Court cannot issue a blanket direction to the Respondents herein to conduct the Arulmigu Sri Mariyamman Temple Festival. However, it is seen that a representation has been given to the District Collector with a copy to the Revenue Divisional Officer, which is dated 25.05.2016. In the said representation, it is alleged that there is a dispute with regard to handing over the key of the Temple and other issues have also been raised. This Court does not want to go into all those aspects.
5. Under such circumstances, the Revenue Divisional Officer / 2nd respondent herein is directed to consider the representation of the petitioner dated 25.05.2016 and after affording an opportunity of hearing to all the parties, pass appropriate orders on merits and in accordance with law as quickly as possible.
