PRAYER:- Writ Petition - filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, praying for the issuance of a Writ of Mandamus, directing the 2nd respondent to fix the petitioner's pay in the promoted post of Senior Administrative Officer with effect from 31/01/2012 by virtue of G.O(3D)No.8 Home (Police V) Department dated 31/01/2012 and the consequent G.O.(3D)No.9 Home (Police V) Department dated 31/01/2012 followed by letter of 3rd Respondent in C.NO.A3/6523/6(2)/ 2012 dated 14/02/2012 to the 2nd respondent and allow the consequential monetary benefits by considering the petitioner's representation dated 01.02.2012 and the petitioner's latest representation dated 30.01.2018 within a specified timeframe that may be stipulated by this Court.

Mr.K.S.Selvaganesan, learned standing counsel appearing for the respondents circulates a copy of the death certificate to the effect that the petitioner has passed away on 11.10.2018. With his demise, nothing survives in this writ petition.
