1372/1C of Perungudi Village, Part I, Radhapuram Taluk, Tirunelveli District and consequently, direct the third respondent to hand over the cattle to the petitioner forthwith which were kept in Veera Subbulakshmi Kosalai, Chinnamoolakaraipatti, Tirunelveli District in pursuant to the letter of the Inspector of Police attached to the third respondent police station, dated 13.06.2025.

ORDER

The petitioner seeks a direction to the respondents not to interfere in the civil dispute pending between the petitioner and the fourth respondent in respect of the petitioner's property and consequently, to direct the third respondent to hand over the cattle to the petitioner forthwith.

2.The Additional Public Prosecutor appearing for the respondent police, on instructions, would submit that the cattle belong to the petitioner and the respondents have no objection to return the cattle forthwith.

3.In view of the aforesaid submissions, the respondents are directed to return the cattle to the petitioner within a period of one week from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. It is needless to say that the respondent police would not interfere in any civil dispute. However, if any cognizable offence is disclosed either against the petitioner or the fourth respondent, the respondent police are at liberty to take appropriate action in accordance with law.
