ORDER

Heard both sides.

2. The petitioner purchased the petition mentioned property vide registered sale deed bearing Document No.974/2006. He thereafter applied for agricultural service connection under Tatkal scheme. While filling up the details, there was a mistake in the sale deed as regards the survey number. It should have been mentioned as Survey No.287/4B. However, it was erroneously mentioned as Survey No.290/4. The same mistake got carried over to the application also. Now the petitioner wants to correct the survey number. 2/4

The petitioner had also remitted a sum of Rs.2,50,000/-. The petitioner originally wanted refund of the amount. That was negatived. Challenging the said stand of TANGEDCO, the present writ petition came to be filed.

3. When the matter was taken up for hearing, the learned counsel for the petitioner, on instructions, submitted that the petitioner would be satisfied if electricity service connection is given under Tatkal Scheme for Survey No. 287/4B. I am of the view that no exception can be taken to the said request. Even there is no need to interfere with the impugned order. The respondents are directed to provide service connection to the petitioner for the land in Survey No.287/4, Kuruvarpatti, Kottampatti Village, Melur Taluk. This shall be done expeditiously and without any delay.

4. The writ petition is allowed. No costs. Consequently, connected miscellaneous petitions are closed.
