Respondents PRAYER: This Criminal Original Petition has been filed under Section 482 of Criminal Procedure Code, to direct the respondents to give police protection to perform the Mattu Pongal Festival. So as to enable the Petitioner's family to tie the cattle in Grama Natham S.No.30/1, Meenakshipuram II bit, Mavillingampatti measuring about 50 ft. length and 20ft. breath on the Eastern side of North to South road in front of goddess Thottichiamman Temple on 15.01.2021 and 16.01.2021 by considering the petitioner's petition dated 17.12.2020.

The present petition is filed by the petitioner under Section 482 of Criminal Procedure Code seeking for a direction to give police protection for celebrating 'Mattu Pongal' in Grama Natham Survey No.30/1, Meenakshipuram II bit, Mavilingampatti Village. 2.When the matter is came up for final hearing today, the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner filed a memo stating that they conducted Pongal festival peacefully in the land in Survey No.30/1 of Mavilingampatti Village.

3.Recording the said submissions, the Criminal Original Petition is disposed of.
