2. It is submitted by the learned counsel appearing for the petitioners that there are disputes between the first petitioner and his wife and thereby, the wife of the first petitioner has filed a complaint before the respondents Police in the month of February 2023 and since then, the petitioners have been appearing before the respondents Police and the respondents Police without either closing the petition or registering the case, have been harassing the petitioners and asking the petitioners to deposit money towards permanent alimony for which the petitioners are not interested, therefore, they sought for suitable directions.
3. The learned Government Advocate (criminal side) appearing for the respondents Police submits that on a representation given by the wife of the first petitioner, C.S.R.No.460 of 2023 has been given and the 2/5
enquiry is being initiated. Soon after completion of enquiry, the respondents police will close the complaint.
4. Considering the submission made by the learned Government Advocate (criminal side) appearing for the respondents Police, this Criminal Original Petition is disposed of directing the respondents Police to consider the representation given by the wife of the first petitioner and dispose of the same on merits as quickly as possible. 02.08.2023 Index : Yes/No Internet : Yes/No ssb To 1.The Superintendent of Police, Madurai District, Madurai.
