O R D E R

This Criminal Original Petition is filed seeking for a direction to the respondents to expedite the investigation in Cr.No.246 of 2018 pending with the second respondent police.

2. According to the petitioner, on a complaint given by him, the respondent police have not registered a case and therefore, the petitioner has filed a complaint under Section 200 Cr.P.C., before the concerned Court and the learned Magistrate has referred the matter to the police under Section 156(3) Cr.P.C. As per the orders of the learned Magistrate, the respondent police have registered the case in Cr.No.246 of 2018 for the offences under Sections 294(b), 325, 506(2) and 147 of IPC. It is further submitted that in respect of registration of the FIR in the year 2018, the respondent police have not shown any interest to complete the investigation, therefore, sought for suitable direction.

3. The learned Government Advocate (Crl.side) appearing for the respondents on the other hand submitted that so far four witnesses were examined and the investigation is in progress and within short time they will complete the investigation and file the final report. 2/4

4. The submission of the learned Government Advocate (Crl.side) is recorded. Accordingly, this Criminal Original Petition is disposed of directing the respondents to complete the investigation as quickly as possible, not later than eight (8) weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
