ORDER
The petitioner has filed this writ petition for a mandamus directing the respondents to shift the drinking water pipe situated in front of his house in West Street, Kallaperambur, Thanjavur District, by considering his representation dated 16.01.2018.
2. The learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the public tab established by the fourth respondent in front of his house has not been maintained properly and there is no drainage facility for the outlet of the water and therefore, the water gets stagnated in front of his house , causing numerous problem to the petitioner and also causing health hazard. The learned counsel for the petitioner has also produced certain photographs in support of his claim.
3.The learned Additional Government Pleader appearing for the respondents, based on the written instructions, submits that the writ petition has been filed in the year 2018 and as on date, the situation has been developed and water connection have been provided to every house. He has also produced the instructions which has been provided by the Panchayat president to the Block Development Officer in this regard. 4.In view of the submission that the water connection has been provided to every house, then the public tap system may be dismantled. In the event if the respondent Panchayat is intending to maintain the public tap system, it must be maintained in a hygienic condition and necessary outlet have to be provided to ensure that the waste water is not stagnated in the public place.
