ORDER

Heard both sides.

2. The question that calls for consideration is whether the respondents were justified in disconnecting the supply of electricity for the petition mentioned memorial. The memorial is dedicated to a historical figure. But the fact remains that it is located on the private land. It is run by a private body. Therefore, some one must assume responsibility for paying the electricity consumption charges. If the petitioner is not ready to assume responsibility, he cannot demand that electricity supply should continue to be given. I do not find any ground to interfere.

3. This writ petition stands dismissed. There shall be no order as to costs. Consequently, connected miscellaneous petition is closed. 12.10.2023 NCC : Yes/No Index : Yes / No Internet : Yes/ No MGA 3/5
