ORDER

This Contempt Petition has been filed to punish the contemnor for their continuous deliberate and wilful disobedience of the order of this Court dated 23.02.2022 made in W.P.(MD) No.3440 of 2022.

2.The learned Additional Government Pleader for the first respondent would submit that pursuant to the directions of this Court, dated 23.02.2022 in W.P.(MD) No.3440 of 2022, appropriate steps have been taken under Section 78 of the Tamil Nadu Hindu Religious and Charitable Endowments Act, 1959 against 30 persons.

3.It is submitted that the case has also been numbered and the first respondent is also taking steps to dispose of the same. 4.Recording the same, the Contempt Petition stands closed. The first respondent is directed to dispose of the case within a period of twelve months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order, after providing sufficient opportunities to the parties concerned, if any. 2/4

5.The petitioner is at liberty to approach the Court, in case, there is an inordinate delay in disposing of the Miscellaneous Petitions filed before the first respondent under the Tamil Nadu Hindu Religious and Charitable Endowments Act, 1959 by the second respondent.
