PRAYER: Criminal Original Petition is filed under Section 482 of Cr.P.C, to call for the records in Crime No.867 of 2022 dated 01.08.2022 on the file of the first respondent Police and quash the same as against these petitioners.

O RDER This petition has been filed seeking to quash FIR in Crime No.867 of 2022 for the offence punishable under Sections 294(b), 323, 505(1)(a) IPC and Section 4 of Tamil Nadu Prohibition of Harassment of Women Act, 2002 dated 01.08.2022 on the file of the first respondent Police insofar as the petitioners are concerned.

Today, when the matter was taken up for hearing, the learned counsel appearing for the petitioners would submit that during the pendency of this petition, the petitioners and the second respondent / defacto complainant have entered into a compromise and they are ready to file a compromise memo before the concerned Investigating Officer.

3. In view of the above, the petitioners and the second respondent are directed to file a compromise memo before the concerned Investigating Officer within a period of two weeks from the date of reciept of a copy of this order and after receipt of the same, the concerned Police is directed to close the case as "Action Dropped" within a period of two weeks thereafter, if compromise is arrived at between the parties. 2/4
