This Criminal Original Petition filed under Section 482 of the Code of Criminal Procedure, to issue a direction to consider the bail application of the petitioners on merits in accordance with law on the same day in connection with Crime No.106/2024 dated 11.07.2024 on the file of the 2nd respondent by the Special Court for Exclusive Trial of cases under Section SC/ST(POD)Act,1989, Sivagangai. ORDER:- This Criminal Miscellaneous Petition coming on for orders on this day and upon perusing the petition and the affidavit filed in support thereof and upon hearing the arguments of Mr.R.Senthilkumar, Advocate for the Petitioners and of Mr.E.Antony Sahaya Prabahar, Government Advocate for the respondent(s), this Court made the following order:
This petition has been filed seeking extension of time to surrender of the petitioners before the Special Court for Exclusive Trial of cases under Section SC/ST (POD) Act, 1989, Sivagangai, as ordered by this Court in Crl.O.P.(MD)No.11008 of 2024 dated 22.07.2024.
2. The learned counsel appearing for the petitioners would submit that the 2/4
petitioners could not surrender before the learned Judge concerned and produce the sureties within the stipulated time as prescribed by this Court.
3. Considering the submission made by the learned counsel appearing for the petitioners, this petition is allowed and time is extended by ten days from the date of receipt of copy of this order.
