Respondents PRAYER: Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, to issue a Writ of Certiorarified Mandamus, to call for the records pertaining to the impugned order in Na.Ka.No.3800/2017/A4 dated 10.01.2018 on the file of the first respondent and consequential order in Na.Ka.No.1859/2017/A8 dated 19.01.2018 on the file of the fifth respondent and quash the same as illegal and consequently to direct the respondents 1 to 5 not to erect electric motor pumps and pipelines in the public well situated in the land in Survey No.782 in Perumpallam, Vilpatti Village in Kodaikanal to supply water exclusively to the sixth respondent.

[Order of the Court was made by The Hon'ble CHIEF JUSTICE] We have heard Mr.S.Rajasekar, learned Counsel appearing for the petitioner, Mr.P.Thilak Kumar, learned Government Pleader appearing for the respondents 1 to 4, Mr.P.Thiyagarajan, learned Counsel appearing for the fifth respondent and Mr.J.Anandkumar, learned Counsel appearing for the sixth respondent. 2.The learned Counsel for the sixth respondent submits that as per the order dated 10.01.2018, the work of digging the well is completed long back.
3.In view of the said statement, now the purpose of the writ petition would not survive.
4.Accordingly, the Writ Petition stands disposed of. No costs. Consequently, connected miscellaneous petitions are closed.
