PRAYER :- Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, praying this Court to issue a Writ of Mandamus directing the respondents to settle interest to the petitioner at the rate of 18% per annum for the belated payment of his terminal benefits including Provident Fund Gratuity Pension Arrears and Commuted Value of Pension from the date of his retirement to till the date on which the petitioner's retirement benefits were settled to him i.e. from 21.04.2023 to 10.03.2025. ORDER
This Writ Petition is filed to issue a Writ of Mandamus directing the respondents to settle interest to the petitioner at the rate of 18% per annum for the belated payment of his terminal benefits including Provident Fund Gratuity Pension Arrears and Commuted Value of Pension from the date of his retirement to till the date on which the petitioner's retirement benefits were settled to him i.e. from 21.04.2023 to 10.03.2025.

2. Considering the admitted fact that there has been a delay in payment, the petitioner is entitled to statutory interest as provided under law.
3. In view of the same, the writ petition stands disposed of. The respondents are directed to pay interest at the rate of 6% per annum on the belated terminal benefits payable to the petitioner from the date of his entitlement till the date of his payment within a period of 12 weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
