Criminal Original Petition is filed under Section 482 of Cr.P.C. to direct the Respondents 1 to 3 to give adequate police protection for the life and limb of the Petitioner,his family members and to have peaceful possession and enjoyment of the properties comprised in Survey No.274/8, 276/11 and 276/19 situated at Palayaneduvayal Village, Singampunari Taluk, Sivagangai District, based on the representation dated 24.10.2020. ORDER

This contempt petition has been filed to punish the respondent for disobeying the order passed by this Court dated 04.11.2020 in Crl.O.P(MD) No.12353 of 2020, thereby directed the first respondent to conclude the enquiry on the complaint lodged by the petitioner within a period of four weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of that order.

2.Today, when the matter is taken up for hearing, the learned Additional Public Prosecutor appearing for the respondent police submitted that on the date of enquiry, the petitioner/complainant was present before the respondent police and stated that he is withdrawing his complaint. Considering the statement made by the petitioner, the complaint lodged by the petitioner was closed on 01.02.2021.
