ORDER

The present Writ Petition has been filed for the issuance of a Writ of Mandamus, to direct the official respondents to delete the entry in Document No. 169 of 1983, dated 17.02.1983 reflected in encumbrance certificate in respect of the petitioner's property, based on the representation given by the petitioner dated 27.06.2025 within stipulated time frame by this Court.

2. The prayer to delete the entry cannot be granted by the respondents, as the appropriate remedy lies before the competent civil court. However, the petitioner is entitled to register the document as double entry.

3. Considering the facts of the case, the official respondents are directed to consider the petitioner's representation dated 27.06.2025 within a period of four weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of the order, as per law and mark the concerened entry as double entry/multiple entry. 2/4

4. With the above observations, this Writ Petition is disposed of. There shall be no order as to costs.
