This writ petition has been filed seeking for a mandamus directing the respondent to consider the petitioner's representation dated 21/11/2017 and directing him to alter the petitioner's date of birth as 23/07/1974 instead of 16/08/1971 in his passport bearing No.G6626484.

2. The relief sought for in this writ petition has now become infructuous. Accordingly, this writ petition is dismissed as infructuous. However, the petitioner is at liberty to apply for fresh passport before the authorities concerned. No costs.
