ORDER

The Writ Petition is filed challenging the notification issued by the third respondent under Section 15(1) of the Tamil Nadu Highways Act 2001.

2. The second respondent has filed counter affidavit stating that as per decision of District Road Safety Committee, the laying of road through Santhosh Avenue was dropped. Consequently, the Government Gazette notification No.VI(1)/149(C-2)/2022, dated 12.04.2022, which is challenged by the petitioner is therefore ceased to exist. The relevant averment reads as follows :

"17.It is submitted that based on the decision made by the District Road Safety Committee, the laying of road through Santhosh Avenue was dropped. Consequently on the above decision the Government Gazette notification No.VI(1)/149(C-2)/2022, dated 12.04.2022 which is challenged by the petitioner here is therefore ceased."

3.Recording the statement in the counter affidavit, the Writ Petition is closed. Consequently, connected Miscellaneous Petitions are closed. No costs.
