PRAYER: Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, praying this Court to issue a Writ of Mandamus, directing the respondents herein to remove the petitioner name from the Crime and Criminal Tracking Network System (CCTNS) portal in pursuance to the fifth respondent report dated 22.07.2019 within a stipulated time period in accordance with law by considering the representations dated 18.06.2024 and 10.07.2024.

ORDER
The Writ Petition has been filed seeking a Writ of Mandamus, directing the respondents to remove the writ petitioner's name from the Crime and Criminal Tracking Network System (CCTNS) portal in pursuance to the report of the fifth respondent dated 22.07.2019 within a stipulated time period in accordance with law by considering the representations dated 18.06.2024 and 10.07.2024.
2. Mr.E.Antony Sahaya Prabahar, learned Additional Public Prosecutor takes notice for the respondents. By consent, this writ petition is taken up for final disposal at the admission stage itself. 2/6
3. It is evident from the records that the writ petitioner was added as an accused in Crime No.62 of 2019 for the offence under Section 21(1) of Mines and Minerals (Development and Regulation) Act, 1957 and subsequently, he was deleted from the said case, but his name finds place in the Crime and Criminal Tracking Network System (CCTNS) portal.
4. When the matter is taken up for hearing today, the learned Additional Public Prosecutor appearing for the respondents would submit that the fifth respondent has already sent a letter dated 10.07.2024 to the third respondent recommending for removing the writ petitioner's name from the Crime and Criminal Tracking Network System (CCTNS) portal.
