Prayer: This Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, to issue a Writ of Mandamus, directing the respondents herein to reimburse the balance medical bill amount of Rs.46,952/- to the petitioner together with interest at the rate of 7.5% p.a. thereon covered by the medical records and medical bills within a reasonable time.

ORDER
The present writ petition has been filed by the beneficiary of the State Health Insurance Scheme seeking a mandamus for reimbursement of balance medical bill amount of Rs.46,952/-.
2.A perusal of the records reveal that the family member of the retired Government servant has undergone chemotherapy treatment in AR Hospital from 07.12.2016 to 09.12.2016, in Raghavendhar Hospital on 02.01.2017 and 03.01.2017 and in Appollo Hospital on 20.02.2017, 22.02.2017 and 13.03.2017. The Government servant has raised a claim of Rs.2,08,000/- to the Insurance Company. Out of the said amount, Rs.1,53,048/- has been reimbursed by the Insurance Company by way of proceedings dated 11.10.2017. In the said proceedings, it has been pointed out that the balance 2/5
amount cannot be reimbursed as the scheme is a cashless scheme. Without challenging the said order, the present writ petition has been filed seeking a mandamus to reimburse the balance amount.
3.It could be seen from the records that the writ petitioner's family member has undergone chemotherapy treatment in three different hospital between 07.12.2016 to 13.03.2017.
4.The learned counsel for the respondents/Insurance Company has furnished a copy of the order dated 17.09.2025 wherein the claim made by the petitioner herein has been repudiated and it has also been communicated to the writ petitioner. As per the scheme, whenever repudiation of the claim or part of the claim is made, it is for the beneficiary to approach the District Level Empowerment Committee to ventilate his grievance. 5.In view of the above said facts, this Court is not inclined to entertain the writ petition. The writ petition is disposed of with liberty to the writ petitioner to approach the competent forum to ventilate his grievance. No costs.
