ORDER

This writ petition has been filed for the issue of writ of mandamus directing the first respondent to remove the name of the petitioner from the history sheet in H.S. No. 108 of 2006 which is maintained on the file of the Nagamalai Pudukkottai Police Station, Madurai District.

2. Heard the learned counsel on either side and perused the materials placed on record.

3. The learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that there were 4 cases pending against the petitioner out of which, 3 cases were referred as mistake of fact and one case was quashed by this Court.

4. Taking into consideration the facts and circumstances of the case and the relief sought for by the petitioner, there shall be a direction to the first respondent to deal with the representation made by the petitioner on 30.11.2020 in line with the guidelines given by this Court in Sabari @ Sabarigiri Vs. The Assistant Commissioner of Police, Madurai & Ors., reported in 2018 4 MLJ (Crl.) 585. A decision shall be 2/4

taken within a period of six weeks and it shall be conveyed to the petitioner.
