Respondents PRAYER: Criminal Original Petition is filed under Section 482 of Cr.P.C, to direct the Principal District Munsif Cum Judicial Magistrate Court, Karaikudi to complete the proceedings in C.C.No.15/2019 in Crime No.6 of 2018 for the alleged offence U/s-498 (A), 506(1) of IPC to complete the proceedings within stipulated time fixed by the Court.

ORDER

This petition is filed seeking direction to the learned Principal District Munsif Cum Judicial Magistrate, Karaikudi to complete the trial in C.C.No.15 of 2019.

2.The petitioner herein is the defacto complainant in C.C.No.15 of 2019, which was registered for the alleged offences under Sections 498(A) and 506(1) of IPC.

3.The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner would submit that even after a lapse of 2 years, there is no progress in the trial.

4.The learned Additional Public Prosecutor appearing for the 1st respondent would submit that summon has been issued to the witnesses to appear on 07.12.2021 for enquiry.

5.Considering the fact that it is a matrimonial dispute between the parties, there shall be a direction to the learned Principal District Munsif Cum Judicial Magistrate, Karaikudi to complete the https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/ 1/2

Crl.O.P.(MD) No.16146 of 2021 trial in C.C.No.15 of 2019 and dispose of the same on merits within a period of 5 months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order and during the course of trial, possibility of compromise may also be explored by the parties. After completing the process and disposing of the case on merits, compliance report must be submitted to the Registry.

6.With the aforesaid direction, this petition stands disposed of.
