This Writ Petition is filed seeking for setting aside the order passed by the respondent Police vide proceedings in Na.Ka.No.
138/Kaa.thu.Ka/Usilai/2023, dated 20.07.2023, declining to permit the petitioner to provide permission and to give protection for conducting of Adal Padal Programme on 02.08.2023 at Arulmigu Sri Sundara Anjaneya Perumal Temple Festival, situated at Vazhrajpuram Village, Valandur, Usilampatti Taluk, Madurai District.
2. Learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that they have been conducting Aadal Padal programme every year on 18th day of Tamil month of Aadi with all the family members, including those who are staying at farthest places and celebrate the temple festival. The petitioner has filed an application dated 19.07.2023 seeking permission for conducting of Aadal Padal Progrmme, however, the same was declined by the respondents police.
3. Now, learned Government Advocate (Criminal Side) submitted that the Police have no objection to provide permission by incorporating the 2/4
guidelines of the Police vide proceedings in Rc.007301/Genl.I (1)/2019, dated 09.04.2019. The same is recorded.
4. Accordingly, this Writ Petition stands disposed of, directing the respondent Police to provide Police protection and permission for conducting of Adal Padal Programme on 02.08.2023 at Arulmigu Sri Sundara Anjaneya Perumal Temple Festival, situated at Vazhrajpuram Village, Valandur, Usilampatti Taluk, Madurai District, as per the guidelines of the police vide proceedings in Rc.007301/Genl.I (1)/2019, dated 09.04.2019.
