O R D E R

The petitioner has approached this Court seeking issuance of a Writ of Mandamus directing the fourth respondent to consider and dispose of the petitioner's representation dated 20.08.2025.

2. In the said representation, the petitioner has alleged that the sixth respondent, who is the owner of the adjacent agricultural land, has dug two borewells and installed submersible pumps with electricity service connections of 5 HP and 7.5 HP without obtaining the requisite permission from the competent authorities. It is further alleged that the electricity service connections obtained for agricultural purposes are 2/5

being misused for commercial purposes by supplying water to third parties. The grievance of the petitioner is that, despite the lapse of considerable time, no action has been taken on the said representation.

3. Mr. S. Deenadhayalan, learned counsel, who accepts notice on behalf of respondents 1 to 5, on instructions, submitted that the petitioner's representation dated 20.08.2025 would be considered and disposed of by the fourth respondent, on its own merits and in accordance with law, within such time as may be stipulated by this Court. The said submission is placed on record.

In view of the above submission, and without expressing any opinion on the merits of the petitioner's allegations, the writ petition stands disposed of with a direction to the fourth respondent to consider and dispose of the petitioner's representation dated 20.08.2025, on its own merits and in accordance with law, after affording an opportunity of hearing to the petitioner, the sixth respondent, and all other persons likely to be affected by the proposed decision.

6. The aforesaid exercise shall be completed within a period of four (4) weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

7. There shall be no order as to costs.
