ORDER

The petitioner, seeking permission to conduct Kabaddi Tournament, has submitted a representation before the respondent Police and also filed this writ petition seeking a direction to the respondent Police to grant permission to conduct Kabaddi Tournament.

2. The learned Additional Public Prosecutor submits that a request has been made for conducting Kabaddi Tournament during the late night hours. Therefore, they have not granted permission. In the event, if the petitioner is inclined to change the time for conducting the Kabaddi Tournament during the day hours, then, there is no impediment for them to grant permission.

3. The petitioner is not supposed to disturb the public under the guise of conducting Kabaddi Tournament. If they want to conduct the Kabaddi Tournament, let them conduct the Kabaddi Tournament in the daytime. In the event, if the petitioner changes the time to conduct the Kabaddi Tournament in the daytime, then, the respondent police shall consider the 2/4

same and grant permission within a period of one week from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

4. Accordingly, this writ petition is disposed of. No costs. 11.07.2025 ogy NCC : Yes / No.
