PRAYER: Writ Petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, praying for issuance of a writ of Mandamus, directing the respondents 1 to 5 to conduct enquiry and to take appropriate action 1/4
against the 6th respondent for her illegal act of misappropriating the Panchayat funds and for discharging her duties as President - in - charge of the Kallal Panchayat Union, Sivagangai District in complete violation of the Condition No. 3 and 6 specified by the 2nd respondent in the appointment order of the 6th respondent dated 27.10.2023 within a time frame as fixed by this Court.

ORDER
This Writ Petition has been filed seeking a direction to the respondents 1 to 5 to conduct enquiry and to take appropriate action against the 6th respondent for her illegal act of misappropriating the Panchayat funds and for discharging her duties as President - in - charge of the Kallal Panchayat Union, Sivagangai District in complete violation of the Condition No. 3 and 6 specified by the 2nd respondent in the appointment order of the 6th respondent dated 27.10.2023 within a time frame as fixed by this Court.
2.Today, when the writ petition is taken up for hearing, the learned Additional Government Pleader for the official respondents, on instructions, submitted that enquiry proceedings has been initiated 2/4
against the sixth respondent by the second respondent on the basis of the report submitted by the Village Administrative Officer and necessary orders will be passed after completing the enquiry. 3.Recording the above submission, this writ petition is disposed of directing the second respondent to conclude the enquiry initiated in pursuant to the report of the Village Administrative Officer and pass appropriate orders on merits and in accordance with law within a period of two months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
