proceedings on the basis of the representations of the petitioner dated 20.06.2025 and 23.06.2025 for cancelling the assignment patta issued in Survey No.369/13 in Perumachery Revenue Group, Ilaiyangudi Taluk, Sivagangai District. ORDER
(Order of the Court was made by S.M.SUBRAMANIAM, J.) The Writ on hand has been instituted to direct the 2nd respondent to complete the enquiry proceedings on the basis of the representations of the petitioner dated 20.06.2025 and 23.06.2025 for cancelling the assignment patta issued in Survey No.369/13 in Perumachery Revenue Group, Ilaiyangudi Taluk, 2.The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner would submit that assignment patta was issued to ineligible persons and therefore, the petitioner has sent representations to cancel the patta. Since it was not taken up for adjudication, the present Writ Petition came to be instituted. 2/5
3.The learned Government Pleader appearing for the respondents would submit that there is an appeal remedy, which is to be filed in a prescribed format for the purpose of conducting enquiry.
4.In view of the said submission, the petitioner is at liberty to prefer an appropriate statutory appeal before the 3rd respondent, who in turn, on receipt of the same, shall conduct enquiry and pass appropriate orders on merits and in accordance with law as expeditiously as possible. 5.With the above direction, this Writ Petition stands disposed of. No costs.
