Prayer: This petition is filed under Section 528 of BNSS 2023, to direct the 2nd respondent to conduct an enquiry in connection with reference No.1300/PET/SP-TRI/2025, issued based on the petitioner's complaint dated 24.04.2025 within time frame as fixed by this court. ORDER
The petitioner has made a complaint before the Superintendent of Police, Tiruchirappalli that the 3rd respondent has received a sum of Rs.9 lakh from him in the year 2017 with an assurance that he would arrange a job for him in State Bank of India. He also claims that another sum of Rs.10 lakh was parted with by the petitioner to the 3rd respondent in the year 2020. With this averment the petitioner has lodged the complaint that the 3rd respondent by promising him to arrange for a job, had received a sum of Rs.25 lakh and cheated him. 2.The petitioner has approached this court that the respondent police have not taken action on his complaint. Therefore, the petitioner has filed this petition seeking a direction to the respondent police to take action on his complaint.
3.The learned Additional Public Prosecutor appearing for the respondent police submits that the alleged transactions took place at Rajapalayam and in Chennai. The petitioner is a resident of Tenkasi. However he has lodged the complaint before the Superintendent of 2/4
Police, Tiruchirappalli. Since the 2nd respondent police are not having jurisdiction, they have not taken action on the petitioner's complaint and they have advised the petitioner to approach the appropriate forum 4.Recording the above submission, this petition is closed and the petition can workout his remedy in the manner known to law. 11.07.2025 DSK To 1.The Superintendent of Police, Office of the Superintendent of Police, Tenkasi District.
