This Criminal Original Petition has been filed to call for 1/4

records pertaining to the C.C.No.29 of 2020 on the file of the Judicial Magistrate, Sathankulam and quash the proceedings as against the petitioner herein.

2. Today, when the matter was taken up for hearing, the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner submitted that the matter has already been settled between the parties before the Mediation and Conciliation Centre attached to this Court on 24.06.2022 and the terms of agreement for settlement was also signed by both the parties and prays for allowing this petition.

3. Heard the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and the learned Government Advocate (Crl. Side) appearing for the first respondent. There is no representation for the 2nd respondent.

4. Since the matter has already been settled between the parties before the Mediation Centre and the terms of agreement for settlement was signed by the both parties, this Court is inclined to allow this petition.

Accordingly, this Criminal Original Petition is allowed and the entire proceeding in C.C.No.29 of 2020 pending on the file of the Judicial Magistrate, Sathankulam is hereby quashed as against the petitioner herein. The Terms of agreement for settlement is form part of this order. Consequently, the connected Miscellaneous Petitions are closed.
