ORDER

The instant writ petition has been filed by an Executive Engineer cum Administrative Officer of the Tamil Nadu Housing Board, challenging the order of suspension dated 02.02.2024.

2.A perusal of the impugned order reveals that the petitioner was trapped and arrested by the Vigilance and Anti-corruption, Ramanthapuram District on 31.01.2024 and a criminal case was registered in Crime No.3 of 2024 under Section 7(a) of Prevention of Corruption(Amendment) Act, 2018. 3.Contemplating an enquiry into grave charges against the delinquent, the petitioner has been placed under suspension.

4.The petitioner has sent a representation to the respondent herein on 05.07.2024, seeking to revoke the order of suspension. The said representation has also been acknowledged by the respondent herein. However, no orders have been passed. Hence, the present writ petition has been filed seeking to quash the order of suspension.

5.Considering the allegations made as against the writ petitioner, this Court finds that it would be suffice to direct the respondent herein to consider the representation of the writ petitioner dated 05.07.2024, seeking revocation of suspension. Accordingly, the direction is issued to the respondent herein to consider the said request and pass order on merits and in accordance with law within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. 6.With the above said observations, this writ petition stands disposed of. No costs.
