Prayer: Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying to issue a Writ of Certiorarified Mandamus, to call for the records pertaining to the order passed by the fourth respondent in C.No.D1/1289/2015 dated 14.06.2016 and quash the same and consequently to direct the respondents to appoint the petitioner to the post of Sub-Inspector of police and subsequently direct the Director General of Police, Tamilnadu Police Department i.e., the third respondent to issue the appointment order in favour of the petitioner.

Heard the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and the learned Additional Advocate General assisted by the learned Special Government Pleader for the respondents.
2. The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner was at pains to impress upon this Court that similarly placed persons got relief. However, I am unable to agree with the contentions of the learned counsel. This is for the simple reason that the writ petitioner had filed one more writ petition virtually on the same cause of action in W.P(MD)No.19834 of 2020. The learned 2/4
Additional Advocate General informs the Court that the said writ petition was dismissed on 21.04.2022 on merits. In view of the said dismissal order, the present writ petition cannot be entertained. This writ petition is dismissed. No costs.
