ORDER : The Court made the following order :- The petitioner/A1, who was arrested and remanded to judicial custody on 24.03.2025 for the offences punishable under Sections 8(C) r/w 20(b)(ii)(B) of NDPS Act in connection with C.C.No. 72/2024 on the file of the learned Additional District Judge/Presiding Officer, Special Court under Essential Commodities Act, Thanjavur in Crime No.82 of 2024 on the file of the respondent police, seeks bail.

2. The learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that the petitioner was already enlarged on bail in this case. When the trial Court posted the case on 08.01.2025 for hearing, the petitioner could not appear and hence a non bailable warrant has been issued against the petitioner and the same was executed on 24.03.2025. He further submitted that the petitioner undertakes to appear before the trial Court on all dates of hearing without fail. Hence, he seeks bail.

3. The learned Government Advocate (Criminal Side) submitted that there are fourteen previous cases pending against the petitioner and he is a history sheeted rowdy in H.S.No.21 of 2021. Hence, he opposed to grant bail to the petitioner. 2/4

Taking into consideration of the facts and circumstances of the case and also considering the fact that fourteen previous cases are pending against the petitioner and he is a history sheeted rowdy and also taking note of the fact that it is a case of jumped out of bail, if the petitioner released on bail, he may again abscond and delay the trial proceedings, this court is not inclined to grant the relief sought for in this petition.
