The petitioner has filed this petition with a grievance that though the case in C.C.No.167 of 2024 has been taken cognizance by the learned Judicial Magistrate No.V, Trichy, the respondent police have not served the summons on the accused. Therefore, the trial is pending. 2.The learned Counsel for the petitioner submits that due to the pendency of the criminal case, the petitioner is not able to secure any job in abroad.

3.The learned Government Advocate (Crl.Side) submits that the Judicial Officer was on leave. There was a vacancy in the Judicial Officer Post. Therefore, there was no progress in trial. He claims that the post has now been filled up and there is some progress in the trial. He also undertook that that they would serve the summons within a period of four weeks and ensure that the accused is appearing before the trial court. 2/4

4.Recording the submission of the learned Government Advocate (Crl.Side), this criminal original petition is closed, with a direction to the respondent police to ensure that the trial in C.C.No.167 of 2024 is concluded as expeditiously as possible.
