ORDER

The petitioner, seeking police protection to conduct survey in the land in Survey No.12/2 situated at Ittery Nagar, Palani Town, Dindigul District, has filed this writ petition.

2. The learned Additional Public Prosecutor submits that in the absence of any direction from the Court and without knowing the right of the parties, they cannot provide police protection for conducting survey. In the event, if any request is made by the revenue officials, then, they would provide police protection as required by the revenue officials.

3. This Court considered the rival submissions made.

4. In the event, if the petitioner intends to conduct survey, he can make a request to the survey officials. In the event, if the survey officials require any police protection for conducting survey, then, it is open to the survey officials to make a request to the respondent police to provide police 2/4

protection. In the event, if any request is made by the revenue officials for police protection, it is the bounden duty of the respondent Police to provide police proteiciton to the survey officials to conduct survey.

5. Accordingly, this writ petition is disposed of. No costs. 11.07.2025 ogy NCC : Yes / No.
