ORDER

(Order of the Court was made by G.ARUL MURUGAN, J.) This Writ Petition is filed seeking for a direction to the respondents 1 to 3 to remove the encroachment made by the fifth respondent in Survey No.341/17 of 55 cents at Melur, Madurai District, now T.S.No. 22/11.

2.The learned Additional Government Pleader appearing for the respondents 1 to 4, based on the written instructions from the Tahsildar, Melur, dated 26.08.2025, submitted that an inspection has already been conducted. Pursuant to the inspection, lands measuring 0.22.0 ares in T.S.No.22/11, which is the subject property mentioned in the Writ Petition, have been classified as 'Sarkar Punjai Tharisu'. The encroachment has been identified and the official respondents are contemplating action to remove the same. It is submitted that necessary proceedings will be initiated and completed within the time stipulated by this Court. 3.In view of the submissions made, the official respondents are directed to initiate appropriate proceedings under the Tamil Nadu Encroachment Act, 1905 and the applicable rules and to remove the identified encroachments. The enforcement action shall be completed within a period of twelve weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. 3/6

4.With the above observations, this Writ Petition is disposed of. There shall be no order as to costs.
