For Respondent : Mr.T.Senthilkumar Additional Public Prosecutor PETITION FOR ANTICIPATORY BAIL Under Sec.438 of Cr.P.C PRAYER :- For Anticipatory Bail in Crime No.11 of 2022 on the file of the respondent Police.

ORDER : The Court made the following order :- The petitioner/Sole Accused, who apprehends arrest at the hands of the respondent police for the offences punishable under Sections 8C, 20(b)(ii), (B) and 25 of Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substance Act, 1985, in Cr.No.11 of 2022, seeks anticipatory bail. 2.The case of the prosecution is that on 21.05.2022, based on the secret information, the respondent police conducted a vehicle check up at Meenakshipuram near Thamirabarani river bed, at that time, the petitioner was found in possession of 1.650 kilo grams of Ganja. Hence, the complaint.

3.On the side of the petitioner, it is stated that the petitioner is innocent and he is no way connected with the alleged https://www.mhc.tn.gov.in/judis 1/2

CRL OP(MD). No.15501 of 2022 offence and prayed the petitioner to be released on anticipatory bail.

4.On the side of the prosecution, it is stated that the alleged contraband of Ganja was recovered from the petitioner's vehicle and the petitioner is having two previous cases, which are not similar in nature.

5.Considering the seriousness and gravity of the offence and on considering the fact that the petitioner is having two previous cases, this Court is not inclined to grant anticipatory bail to the petitioner.
