ORDER

The present Writ Petition has been filed for the issuance of a Writ of Mandamus, directing the respondents to issue patta in the name of the petitioner in respect of S.No.288/1 measuring an extent of 19.80 cents and S.No.289/1 measuring an extent of 83.60 cents, based on the Sale Deed in Document No.373/2018 dated 10.04.2018 on the file of the Sub Registrar Office, Thovalai, by considering the petitioner's representation dated 26.03.2026.

2. The petitioner is claiming right over the property in Survey No.288/1 measuring an extent of 19.80 cents and Survey No.289 /1 measuring an extent of 83.60 cents. The petitioner purchased the said properties through a sale deed vide Document No.373 of 2018 dated 10.04.2018. Based on the said sale deed, the petitioner seeks transfer of patta in his name.

3. The learned Counsel for State of Tamil Nadu appearing for the respondents submitted that the petitioner is required to submit an online application for transfer of patta.

4. However, the learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that the sale deed has already been forwarded to the concerned Tahsildar along with an application for transfer of patta. However, online application is necessary.

5. In view of the above, the petitioner is directed to submit the online application within a period of two weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. On such submission, the respondents shall consider the petitioner's application and issue patta based on the sale deed within a period eight weeks therefrom.

6. With the above direction, this Writ Petition is disposed of. There shall be no order as to costs.
