Respondents PRAYER : Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying for issuance of Writ of Declaration, declaring that the selection process insofar as selection of candidate for the post of Professor in the Department of Computer Science in the second respondent University without calling all the eligible candidates, including the petitioner for interview as illegal, arbitrary and unconstitutional and consequently, direct the respondents 2 and 3 to hold the interview afresh for selection and appointment to the said post by calling all the eligible candidates, including the petitioner, for interview and to make selection purely and only on merit basis and to consider his candidature by giving him preference since he is serving as Assistant Professor in the second respondent University and since he is having desirable qualifications as per the notification, award costs.
