ORDER
This Writ Petition has been filed for issuing direction to the 3rd respondent herein to consider the petitioner's representation, dated 05.07.2023 for providing priority in employment of forth coming new watershed projects.
2. Heard the learned counsels appearing on either side and perused the materials on record.
3. The petitioner has completed the B.E., (Civil) at Karpagam University in Coimbatore. He was engaged as Engineer in the Watershed Management Programme at Nainarkovil, in the villages viz., Kualthoor, 2/5
Siruvayal, Arasanoor, Perukaloor / Karendal, Naranamangalam by the third respondent as a temporary post for a consolidated remuneration of Rs. 10,000/- and a sum of Rs.1,000/- for travelling allowance. On the exhaustion of watershed project, he was discharged from the above said post on 18.04.2022. Thereafter, the project as announced in the month of April 2022 for which the petitioner was not considered. However, the petitioner came to know that this Court has considered in the similar matter in W.P(MD).No. 11052 of 2020, dated 17.12.2020, wherein, this Court has passed an order to consider the similarly placed persons to be posted in new watershed project and the priority to be given in employment to them. In the light of the above said order, the representation made by the petitioner dated, 05.07.2023 to the respondents seeking to consider his candidature in giving priority of employment for the forthcoming new Watershed projects, is pending before the third respondent.
4. Considering the submission made by either side, following the order passed in the Writ Petition referred above, this Court is inclined to dispose this petition with a direction to the 3rd respondent, to consider the representation of the petitioner, dated 05.07.2023 for providing priority in 3/5
employment of forth coming new watershed projects in accordance with law.
