This writ petition has been filed to direct the 2nd respondent to grant permission and protection for conducting Kodai Festival to be held on 16.09.2019 and 17.09.2019 of Arulmighu Thoosi Madasamy Thirukovil, Thanakkarkulam, Tirunelveli District. 2.Heard both sides.

3.The learned Government Advocate (criminal side) appearing for the respondent police submitted that the petitioner and the third respondent have attended enquiry conducted by the second respondent and they have compromised the issue between them and ready to conduct the festival jointly to be held on 16.09.2019 and 17.09.2019 of Arulmighu Thoosi Madasamy Thirukovil, Thanakkarkulam, Tirunelveli https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/ 1/2

4.Considering the above fact and circumstances, the petitioner and the third respondent are directed to seek adequate police protection jointly from the second respondent and on receipt of the request made by the petitioner and the third respondent jointly, the second respondent is directed to consider the same and provide adequate police protection for the festival to be conducted on 16.09.2019 and 17.09.2019 forthwith.
