PRAYER:- Petition - filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, to issue a Writ of Mandamus directing the respondents to issue patta for the petitioner's land in survey number 616/3A2 to the extent of 3.1/8 cents situated in Sivakasi Village, Sivakasi Taluk, Virudhunagar District by surveying the property by considering the petitioner's representation to the respondents dated 20.06.2020 within the period stipulated by this Court. 1/4

ORDER

This writ petition has been filed for issuance of a writ of mandamus, directing the respondents to consider the representation made by the petitioner on 20.06.2020 and to issue patta in favour of the petitioner with respect to the subject property.

2. When the matter was taken up for hearing, the learned Special Government Pleader appearing on behalf of the respondents submitted the written instructions from the second respondent. On going through the same, it is seen that the second respondent is willing to survey the land provided that the petitioner is able to properly identify the property as per the title deeds and by submitting the relevant documents and thereafter, the request made by the petitioner for patta will be considered.

3. In view of the above, there shall be a direction to the petitioner to identify the property and also submit relevant documents before the second respondent and the second respondent shall consider the same and act in 2/4

accordance with law. This process shall be completed by the second respondent within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
