ORDER

Heard Mr.A.Abdulkabur learned counsel for the petitioner and Ms.P.Sudarkodi Natchiyar, learned counsel for the State of Tamil Nadu, for the respondents 1 to 4.

2.After hearing the learned counsel for the petitioner and the learned counsel for the respondents 1 to 4 and after dispensing with the notice on the fifth respondent, as no adverse orders are proposed to be passed as against him, this writ petition is disposed of at the time of admission itself. 2/6

3.The petitioner is before this Court for a Mandamus to direct the fourth respondent to register a sale deed dated 11.09.2025. 4.The specific case of the petitioner is that the land was standing in the name of the petitioner's grandmother and that vide Doc.No.2658 of 1973 dated 10.10.1973, the land was settled by the petitioner's mother in favour of the petitioner. When the petitioner proposed to sell the property, the third respondent has declined to register the same.

5.It is submitted that the office of the second and third respondent has issued certain communications based on the complaint received by the fifth respondent and therefore, no check slip has been issued. The presentation of the document cannot be thwarted. At best, the office of the fourth respondent can issue a refusal check slip on the strength of Section 22-A of the Registration Act, 1908, based on the available materials.

6.Considering the same, I direct the fourth respondent to accept the presentation of the document and exercise the statutory power under Section 22-A of the Registration Act, 1908. This is without prejudice to the rights of the private respondents herein as also the statutory authorities. 7.The Writ Petition stands disposed of, with the above direction. No costs.
