ORDER

This Criminal Original Petition has been filed, invoking Section 482 Cr.P.C., seeking orders, to direct the second respondent to file final report n Crime No.136 of 2017 on the file of the Karimedu Police Station, Madurai City, dated 28.02.2017 within a stipulated time that may be fixed by this Court.

2. Heard the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and the learned Government Advocate (Criminal Side) appearing for the respondents.

3. When the matter is taken up for hearing today, the learned Government Advocate (Criminal Side) appearing for the respondents would submit that based on the complaint lodged by the petitioner, the respondent police registered an FIR in Crime No.136 of 2017 and examined four witnesses and that the investigation is in progress. Hence, he seeks three months time to file final report before the jurisdictional Magistrate Court.

4.Considering the facts and circumstances of the case and also taking note of the fact that the case is pending from 2017, the second respondent police is directed to complete the investigation and file final report before the jurisdictional Magistrate Court, within a period of two months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

5. With the above direction, this Criminal Original Petition stands disposed of.
