Heard the learned counsel on either side.

2. The petitioner had applied under the provisions of RTI Act. The concerned public information officer had given an incorrect reply. This was brought to the notice of the first respondent by the petitioner. The first respondent found merit in the petitioner's contention. He pulled up the officer concerned and also issued warning. The grievance of the petitioner is that the first respondent should have gone further and taken severe action against the concerned officer. With this prayer, the present writ petition has been filed.

3. In a case of this nature, it is for the superior officer concerned to decide on the quantum of punishment to be imposed on the erring officials. The District Collector thought it fit to issue warning and close the matter. I do not find this approach to be perverse. I decline to interfere in the matter.
