Prayer:Writ Petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, to issue a Writ of Certiorarified Mandamus, calling for the records relating to the proceedings of the impugned order No.1465/Nir4(3)/2018 dated 08.02.2018 on the file of the 2nd respondent and quash the same insofar as fixing of crucial date as 15.07.2017 and further directing the 1st respondent to include the name of the petitioner in the panel for the promotion to the post of Junior Engineer for the year 2017-2018 as consequently promote the petitioner as Junior Engineer. O R D E R

This writ petition has been filed by the petitioner challenging the impugned order passed by the second respondent in No.1465/Nir4(3)/2018, dated 08.02.2018, insofar as fixing of crucial date for promotion as 15.07.2017, is concerned and to direct the first respondent to include the name of the petitioner in the panel for the promotion to the post of Junior Engineer for the year 2017-2018 and consequently, promote the petitioner as Junior Engineer. 2/5

2. However, when the matter is taken up for hearing today, the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner, on instructions, would submit that, during the pendency of this writ petition, subsequently, the petitioner got promotion and therefore, the prayer sought for in this writ petition has become infructuous.

3. In view of the said submission, no further adjudication is necessary in this writ petition. Therefore, by recording the submission made by the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner, this writ petition is closed. No Costs. Consequently, connected miscellaneous petitions are closed.
