PRAYER: Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, praying this Court to issue a Writ of Mandamus, directing the 2nd respondent to grant permission and police protection so as to perform the temple festival (Religious and non-religious) of Arulmigu Vetri Valamburi Vinayagar Thirukovil Chathurthi Thiuvizha at Puthumanai, Radahapuram, Tirunelveli District which is scheduled to be taken place from 31.08.2022 to 09.09.2022, as per our schedule of program as referred to in our invitation on the basis of the petitioners representation dated 23.08.2022.

The petitioner filed this Writ Petition seeking for issuance of a Writ of Mandamus to direct the second respondent to grant permission and police protection so as to perform the temple festival (Religious and non-religious) of Arulmigu Vetri Valamburi Vinayagar Thirukovil Chathurthi Thiuvizha at Puthumanai, Radahapuram, Tirunelveli District which is scheduled to be taken place from 31.08.2022 to 09.09.2022, as per our schedule of program as referred to in our invitation on the basis of the petitioners representation dated 23.08.2022. 2.Mr.M.Sakthi Kumar, learned Government Advocate (Criminal Side) takes notice for the respondents. By consent, this writ petition is taken up for final disposal at the admission stage itself. 3.When the matter is taken up for hearing, the learned Government Advocate (Crl. Side) submitted that the representation of the petitioner dated 23.08.2022 is still pending on the file of the second respondent. 2/4

4.In view of the above, the second respondent hereby directed consider the representation of petitioner dated 23.08.2022 and pass orders on merits and in accordance with law immediately. 5.With the above direction, this Writ Petition stands disposed of. No Costs.
